HOW DOES SUNLESS TANNING WORK?
The primary active ingredient in sunless tanning products is DHA (Dihydroxyacetone).
DHA is a colorless sugar that interacts with the proteins and amino acids in the outermost layer of the skin (stratum corneum of the epidermis),
causing a non-enzymatic browning of the skin. This is called the "Maillard reaction". Several factors influence this reaction, such as skin type,
thickness, ph, medication, hormone levels, and dryness of the skin. In addition, the total composition and quality of ingredients greatly influence
consistency, hue, intensity of color, and substantivity of the final tan.
HOW LONG WILL A SPRAY TAN LAST?
The tan typically lasts 4 to 11 days.
The faster your skin cells turn over and shed from your body, the faster the sunless tan fades. The tan created
by the DHA affects only the top layer of the skin and will begin to fade after 4 - 11 days as the skin naturally
begins to shed. To get the longest life from a spray tan, it is crucial to exfoliate prior to the spray tan application
and to moisturize daily after the application.
IS SPRAY TANNING SAFE?
Yes! DHA has been MCC approved and has been used in cosmetic products for over 30 years. DHA based sunless
tanning is recommended by the Skin Cancer Organisation, and by Dermatologists world wide.
IS SUNLLESS TANNING ALEGRY-PROOF?
Dermatologists universally agree that the fewer the number of ingredients, the less likely the chance of an allergic
reaction. Particularly in a spray on product, where inevitably the client will breathe some in, this is critical.
Most competitors' solutions contain 25-32 ingredients, but we have counted some as high as 40 ingredients.
Go Brown's formulas contains just 13 ingredients. It is important to note that there is no such thing as a 100%
alergy-proof product. However,in the past we have had spray tan technicians who have switched from other formulas to
Go Brown purley because the alergic reactions they were experiencing with the other solution goes away
when they switch to Go Brown.

been developed using modern, specialist technology which seeks to eliminate these issues.Following our pre and post

IS IT OKAY TO HAVE A SPRAY TAN IF I AM PREGNANT?
We recommend that you do not have a spray tan in
your first trimester of your pregnancy. The ingredients in Spray tanning solution has not been tested on pregnant woman. While having a spray tan
we suggest not inhaling the spray tan fumes. Please request a mask and nose plugs from your Go Brown Technician. We
recommend you consult with and receive permission from your physician before receiving a DHA spray tan.
WHEN SHOULD I EXFOLIATE?
You should exfoliate on the day of your spray tan or at any time prior to your appointment.
An exfoliant designed specifically for spray tanning performs two jobs: it scrubs off dead skin cells and cleans off any
oils or impurities to leave the skin completely bare and naked which allows for the DHA to best adhere to the skin.
We recommend using an exfoliant specifically designed for spray tanning such as
Go Browns Coffee Exfoliant. After their spray tan, they should be moisturizing daily to
prevent the skin cells from shedding.
HOW LONG AFTER HAVING A GO BROWN SPRAY TAN MAY I SHOWER?
Most DHA sunless solutions take about 8 hours to completely develop and therefore, you
should not shower until after 8 hours from the time they are sprayed.
WILL THE SPRAY SOLUTION COME OFF ON MY CLOTHES?
We recommend that you wear loose-fitting, darker clothes after your spray session to
minimize the chance of the
bronzer transferring to clothing. When using a spray solution with bronzer, some of the bronze color may rub off on
clothing or bed sheets. However, this is very rare when
using Go Brown spray tanning solution. Go Browns Tanning Wrap and Tanning Dress are perfect for after your tan.
HOW LONG DOES A SPRAY TAN TAKE TO DRY?
The Go Brown solution is one of the fastest drying solutions in the industry because it is oil-free. Our spray tan dries in seconds.
WILL THE TAN BE AFFECTED BY MY SKIN CONDITIONS?
You should be aware that you may want repeat spray tan sessions, which means you will be sprayed with DHA based solution
a number of times if you wish to maintain your "tan" for more than a few days. There are also certain skin conditions which may result in an
uneven, unattractive "tan." These conditions include skin that has been previously damaged by the sun, "older" skin, mottled or freckled skin

A sunless "tan" is not really a suntan and affords no protection whatsoever against the skin damage the sun may
WHO SHOULDN'T HAVE A GO BROWN TAN?
